Here is one that I finished recently for the upcoming Ohio Classic knife show. It is just shy of 11" long. The blade is a twisted 1084/1075/15n20 damascus. The handle is a black dyed Redwood burl (I didn't ask for it to be dyed but it came back that way and it is actually very attractive). Finished off with a copper guard, Desert Ironwood spacer and black G10 accents. Let me know your thoughts on it. Thanks and have a great day. -Burton

Very nice, the bright copper guard offers a nice contrast to the damascus and dyed handle.

Very good looking knife.
I really like the copper, ironwood, redwood combo.
Very sleek looking blade profile.
I like it!

I've had this knife in hand; its amazingly light and well balanced.

Well executed Burton!

Thanks Ben. The copper does make for a nice contrast to the dark.

Mark, thanks this is your Redwood burl.

Mike I appreciate it. I sent it out to be only stabilized and a few pieces came back dyed dark like this, I like it.

Thanks Fred, had a good time forging the other weekend. Hope to get back down for some work again soon.

I especially like the handle treatment on this. Not enough folks use copper for their bolsters/guards. I know some do, but fewer than other metals and I think it looks really good.

when that copper develops a patina, I think it will look even nicer.
Cool knife

Thanks MT and Todd.

Storm Crow, thanks I really do like using the copper.

Lorien, I agree about the patina. I like it when it darkens up a bit.

especially when it gets that nice brown hue, then you can polish the edges just a touch which adds some depth and interest.
