There were some killer knives at the last Ganza event and while it would have been nice to take a stab at a few another opportunity presented itself that I simply could not pass up.
Normally when we have to part with a knife it takes a few minutes for it to sink in that we may never see it again in our lifetime, LOL Four years ago I had to part with a knife that I loved second only to my OD proto but the facts at that time left me with no choice it didn't matter how many times I did the numbers on paper. There are occasions you just have to do what must be done even if you know you're going to hate yourself in the morning.
I posted my OINK Mistress knowing full well I could more easily turn around and kiss my own a** before ever holding it again, sucked but was the simple realistic truth.
I've only been back on BFC for a few months and besides loving all of the discussions here, something occurred I never expected a few weeks back. Out of the blue one of the Hogs here contacted me asking if I would like a chance to bring one of my knives home....my OINK Mistress. Here I am four years later with a chance to bring back one of my favorite knives, how on earth could could I be this lucky?
So the deal was made and events were set in motion, now today I have her back in my hand as if shipping her out four years ago never happened. What more could I possibly ask for with my first piece of INFI to arrive in all these years. As I said the Ganza knives were sweet as hell, but I have no regrets passing on the whole lot this time around. There isn't a knife in the world I'd rather have shown up at my door this afternoon.
I wish there was more I could say besides thanks but honestly until I can buy the man a drink that is about all I can do for now......Thanks a bunch Aaron, it has been a pleasure talking in email with you these past couple of weeks.
This knife is nothing new but heck the rule is INFI in the door pics on the board so far be it from me to challenge the rules.
