I had been considering making my own leather sheath for the 2 but realistically, I have far too many to-dos to get it done in a reasonable amount of Time. (Got married in May and all the sudden the house I never had a problem with for 5 years miraculously has a million things I need to fix).

So I've been browsing the different makers and noticed that sky storm is Symrna Based. Seeing as how that's literally the next town over, I'd just as soon order from him.

I've been trying to browse the skystorm site but it keeps crashing my browser (chrome and safari both!).

I'm trying to see his offerings and make a decision, but alas, I can't seem to get it to work.

Anyways, now to decide on a dangler to belt style.

Whatever happens, this kabar sheath must go. I can't seem to pull the knife in and out more than. A few times before I lose the edge!

So thoughts on skystorm and thoughts on sheath style would be very much appreciated.

I have a belt sheath for my BK14 from Skystorm. It is extremely well made and very streamlined. I absolutely love it. The stitching is very clean and looks to be nice quality leather. i would definitely recommend him. We are very lucky to have some great sheath makers here.

All of sky's stuff is up on fleabay and also many pictures of his stuff up on this site. Take a look over in the sheath makers forum....or pay him a visit!

Can't find a sheath maker section in here...

I'd love to pay him a visit if he's got a shop. I Love watching craftsmen work.

there are a lot of great makers on here.. Skystorm, Psyop, Sagewood gear, B.Mauser to name a few for leather... all different styles and options available..

Yeah, I see that. I'm big on buying locally produced goods when possible.
I had seen many guys post their wares. All of them look top notch.

Send me an email and I will send over some pics. Not sure what trouble you are having with the site so I can't help there, It is function checked daily.

My BK9 sheath from Skystorm is nothing short of spectacular. Very well made, and the attention to detail is incredible.

I've been looking at the Skystorm site a lot lately trying to decide on a cross draw sheath they offer. Does anybody have an actual picture of this sheath being worn with either a bk-14 or an Izula?

That's the truth, I feel your pain. Married for 2 years and I've installed a metal roof, did an addition for a new master bedroom, and completely renovated a bathroom. Those honey-do lists are brutal.

Just take some "sick" time from work and get it done while she's working.

Haha, she started a new class at night. So I've got a free hour or two on Thursdays. I made this one last night for the time being. I just can't justify buying one right this second!

Hey there you go! That looks great, congrats. Did you use any type of blade liner in the leather?

I added a strip of leather as a welt on the blade and 2 on the top to accomodate the thickness of the blade. I followed a walk through I found on this forum somewhere and so far, it's doing it's job well.
