That's the finish on the blade. The blade is put into a machine with a bunch of stones and is basically pelted for awhile with those stones, hence "stonewashed".Hi, what does "stonewashed" refer to?
You might want to check with spark. Last night I saw, they still had some available.I have a red one. Can't get it quite centered, and even Kershaw has tried. Oh well, close enough. I still love the design and the looks. Wish I'd been around for the forum knife.
