Skyline Blade Swap

Hey everyone. I've seen a few forum members mixing up their skylines so I thought I would try my hand at it! Blacked out knives look amazing so I swapped the blades from the black G-10/satin skyline and a coyote brown g-10/black skyline. The satin goes amazingly well with the brown g-10 and the all black skyline just looks beautiful. Also swapped the pocket clips. Anybody mix up the brown/black skyline with the blaze orange skyline? Just did the exact thing. The brown looks nice with the uncoated blade for sure.
 
I'm pretty sure that you want to sell both to me.

Hey, wait a minute. I have an extra brown/black in my arsenal, and I can grab another standard satin/black and do my own switch-a-roo. Sweet.

Then swap'em out! I'm not letting these babies go....have to stay in the collection for when the BF edition skyline comes to life.
 
Its funny, I think both knives look better swapped.

I actually kinda like the coyote brown and bead blasted finish and the all black is obviously top 2, I think the Damascus looks cooler.
 
i like my orange handled skyline very much.

skyline is a tough knife to beat for overall edc.

Yea, I thought about swapping the black blade onto my orange skyline, but I like the original look of that one. Would love to get a hold of a Damascus skyline though.
 
Nice! I love this swap. I carry the black on black when I'm not carrying the damascus.

Damascus is no longer available.

I figured out that I already have a satin/tan Skyline in my arsenal. Not sure how that sucker got there.
 
will also black-out my skyline (which I finally picked- a sweet little knife) when the tan one I bought comes along...
 
I just got my black blade and brown G10 knife in. I need the silver blade and black G10 now.

I'm not one to complain (usually), but there is a ton of blade play and it rubs the G10 so much when closing, it's leaving the black blade finish on the inside of the brown G10 on this knife. Favoring the non liner lock side. I'm hoping swapping everything around with fix some of this.
 
Try adjusting the pivot. I noticed that even the slightest bit too loose and the blade hits the scales. But, there should be a sweet spot that centers the blade and allows for fast deployment, at least that is how it was on my skylines.
 
I swapped my Brown's black blade with my orange's satin blade because I was doing it for the orange/black combo. After I did it and saw how the brown/satin looked it turns out I like it more. It looks like the brown/satin were made to be together.
