Skyline: No Date Stamp

Maybe I missed something, but I thought all US-made Kershaw folders had a stamp with the month and year of manufacture. I got another Skyline today (this makes seven for me) and it has no date. Same Kershaw logo, same model number, everything on the other ones, but no manufacture date. I only ask because I'd like to know the blade steel as it changed to the newer Sandvik in March 2009.

See photos below; mine is exactly like this.

this question has come up in a couple other threads and I believe the reponse was that Kershaw no longer dates the knives.

I'm in agreement with mmkjohnson1, with this as the reference. My Skyline also doesn't have a born-on date but I feel safe that it's 14C28N because I only bought it a couple months ago; same with my Leek. So from my understanding, Kershaw stopped dating knives after the switch to 14C28N, so if there's no date, you've got the newest steel. Hope that puts your mind at ease. :)
