Skyline wire clip mod

I just got my red G10 Skyline. I love the knife! I don't love the pocket clip though in tip up carry which I prefer. So I snagged the wire pocket clip from my beater Spyderco Dragonfly 2. I routered out the G10 along the outer edge of the existing pocket clip screws. I used a 2mm bit made a depth of 1.5mm and 10mm long. Hope you like it!

Nice mod. I actually carry my Skyline tip-down because the handle protrudes further than I'd like tip-up. Your mod just might take care of that. I was debating trying the trick with the 0550/0560 deep carry clip, but just never got to it.
 
Yes all my knives are users. They may last a few years at the most. For me if I really wanted a knife to keep nice, I personally would get a custom. But to be honest it will be a user as well. I don't spend too much on my knives, but i believe in getting something of quality. My Dragonfly was only 2.5 years old before I had to retire it. My Delica prolly has a year or two left. I usually buy a new knife about a year before the current knife goes to knife heaven. While I appreciate those who collect. I also appreciate something that works well and looks good! Who knows. Maybe when this knife retires, there may be an elmax version or S30v :)

I don't think I ruined the G10, I enhanced it! And I do have a second red Skyline still in the box! ;)
 
Something a friend of mine used to say back when we recorded music together. :D Replaced the "thank you ma'am" with something funnier.
