I can't wait to see these radabonzical new sheaths. I've been using kydex and think it's time to try out some leather soon.

Well I live in Tucuruvi, North São Paulo.

Why the question?

Chad do you like the looks of the gobspark?

First thing i would do is to get Hedgehog ferrro rod or a Gravitas Titanium or even a plain one just perforated.

can't make up my mind.. skystorm or sagewood. hedgehog looks nice too.. but i like skystorm or sagewood little better. better price. that sagewood looks real nice.. i just noticed they have horizontal sheat convertion tool to carry that vertically for 16. good to have choices.

I'm kinda leaning towards Sagewood for my BK7 sheath. I just like that style with the dangler...

But I'm really interested to see what Skystorm is talking about.... WE NEEDS PICS!

I like the Gobspark, hate the handle. Way overkill on the size, but if you have gloves on, it probably is nice to have.

i carry way too many options for starting fire.. along with white gas for my stove. i'm not sure it's necessary to have fire steel loop on the sheath.. then again, one more won't hurt. i'm thinking sagewood scout for 16 with 3/8" firesteel loop. and later maybe conversion loop. then again.. skystorm bush sheath for 16 looks nice too.

how does KCR work on sagewood sheath? are they glued onto the leather?

Have you ever tought of removing the handle and making a wood, leather, Kydex, anything one?

Cause i think the Gob is Fugly but the mishmetal used is really good.

I really like how people have started combining leather and kydex. If I ever get around to purchasing another big knife, I'd probably go that route. Especially on the bigger stuff, like the 9 and 4.

Bullet,

I just got two sagewood gear sheaths!

The KCR works great in my opinion! and Its connected with a fitting rather than glue!

The kydex collar simply pinches the leather against the handle, holding it in place by the curve of the upper part of the becker handles. You can shake your sheath upside down and it wont come out.

To draw the knife, you place your thumb on the rubber stud and push off of it to pull it out of the sheath. The kydex is fixed to the sheath with a countersunk machine screw inside the leather collar and screws into a chicago screw and rubber washer
