Liked the sheath I bought from Skystorm for my 16 quite a bit, so I bought one of his sheaths for my 14. This one is a Scout, that I ordered in left hand draw, so I could wear it on my front.

Like the last one, I like it a lot. I received it today, so this isn't a long-term review. However, I'm guessing its built as well as the one I've had for months.

As a bonus, I figured I could wear it vertically, as well, and that seems to work fine.

Skystorm knows what he's doing.

Couldn't really see the sheath before. Here's a better shot. I like Skystorms work because it looks as good as it works.

Carrying like this works great - especially for sitting.

Cross draw on small fixed blades is super comfy!

That sheath looks really nice!

I wasn't sure I'd like it (cross-draw carry), but decided to give it a shot. Just went for a quick walk on the trail by my house, and really liked the way it carried. Tucked up out of the way, but easy to get to. I like it.

Very nice rig! I have a hard time NOT carrying cross draw nowadays. The 14 is perfect for it too.

How do you wear that vertically without it jabbing you in the ribs?

Ha - looking at my own picture, I guess I don't know. Sure looks like it would, but I wore it like that for a little while yesterday and didn't notice that. I guess maybe I'm just used to it because I've been carrying it with the stock sheath and TDI clip, which rides pretty much just like that.

I will say that's not how the sheath was designed to be worn. Its meant to be scout carry, and I will wear it horizontal most of the time.

Very nice. It appears a little on the bulky side for my taste, however, I'm sure its very comfy for you. I used the stock sheath for a long time riding in that position, then had a very slim kydex rig. I have since switched over to a kydex pocket sheath. I suppose for summer I will carry cross draw like this again, just to keep my pockets free. Who knows. Again, that is a very nice sheath!!

I would say its definately bulky compared to the stock sheath or a good kydex sheath. For leather, I think it's not that bulky. For some reason, I just can't get into kydex. I know it's good, I know it makes sense, and I know it's slimmer than leather.

Yet, I always put my stuff in leather. Go figure.
