I have to thank this forum again. First it was for introducing me to Beckers, allowing me to end up with a 16. Now it's for learning about Skystorm's work, which I also had not heard of before this forum.

I didn't much care for the stock 16 sheath. Just a little busy for how I am using this knife. I also prefer leather for sheath material. So I ordered a simple belt sheath from Skystorm yesterday as a new home for the 16.

I love that style of sheath and it's perfect for the kind of carry I do. It looks like beautiful leather work from his website, and I did not add the fire steel loop, as I don't need it and I think adds to the simplicity that I like so much about this kind of sheath.

I see that there's quite a wait time for Skystorm's work, but I don't mind at all. I leave for bear camp mid-August and I'd love to have it in hand by then, but figure it'll be on my doorstep when I return if it's not. There are times when bear hunting with a bow that a stout knife on your side makes you feel a little better.

Anyway, continue to appreciate all that I'm learning on this forum, although my wallet is a little lighter.

He does nice work for sure.I was suprized at how fast I got my edc pouch and bk2 the fix.I orderd another sheath from another high end leather worker before the skystorm and skystorm was way faster.
So I have orderd another skystorm sheath, for my bk9 this time.

That's good to hear. I've learned that wait times from reputable craftsmen are just something you deal with. If there's a good wait time, that's often due to the fact that the work is good, and others are waiting, too. No sense in annoying them by asking where you are in the que, just do your time.

I don't bug my taxidermist, and I'm not bugging Skystorm. But, if your wait was shorter than you thought, I like the sound of that.
