Slab Help

What I have are two 3/8" slabs on a 3/16" tang. This is my first handle. Should I just round over the slabs with a router or try to shape them with my sander? Looking for what you guys do most with a slab type handle?

I learned from Kit Carson that a knife with just rounded edges is still just a flat handled knife and doesn't have near as much character as a knife with domed scales.
I don't know what kind of sander you're using but if you can set it up vertically and even better, set it up slack belt, you'd end up with a much nicer knife if you rounded over/domed the scales.
It's not a simple procedure but once you learn how to do it you'll be glad you did.
