Hello everybody....

I have a Case/Bose Collaboration Cotton Sampler with antique jigged bone. I got it from a true gentleman here:).

I already have the Dogleg with jigged bone. I have an idea to swap the slab with other material. Is it doable? Who would do such a job? Any ideas on the replacement material? Wood, ivory, micarta, stag, or else?

go to the makers section, many of our custom makers can do this work. it will probably ruin any collector value but if you are keeping the knife, o.k. i will mention that it's easier to replace a blade than to change handles. handles require total disisembly of the knife. will be expensive.

Muskratman over on the Allaboutpocketknives forum did this soddie for me and is doing another in bone right now. He will also be rescaling a Case 3299 for me in High Art fashion.

my soddie...

You can find more of his work in this forum: http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/knife_forum/viewforum.php?f=14

Where to source handle material, particularly wood and bone?

Thanks, gents.

Thanks for the insight and info guys. I have to contact someone. Please keep it comin'.
