Took out my collection of 110 and 112 for a bit of fondling today and I was amazed that there is such a big difference between the vintage slab sides and the post mid 80's rounded handles.

I found my preference leaning towards that palm filling old slabsides, although my hands are small, coming in at a size 8 glove. What's everyone elses thoughts on the matter ?

I find myself leaning toward the rounded/radiused handles. The squared handles feel uncomfortable after a short while. The older style also looks clunky(is that a real word?). I much prefer the fingergrooved models FWIW. Preston

I have mixed feelings about this...

I have one of the older "square-bolstered" 110's with scales rounded over their length (but not their width); I like this, but would like to see them rounded width-wise, too...

I think that rounding them in both axes would fit the newer "rounded bolster" design better than the slab-side scales they are presently provided with, and feel better in the hand...

It would also be more complicated to manufacture, which might push the 110 up in price...Wal-Mart and K-Mart may not like that...

If it could be done without increasing the price, then I would say go for it...

i also have a prefrence for the older ones were the back of the handle is in line with the back of the blade rather then the cerved handle. the rounded sides are easer on the hands by the 2ed deer but a bit slick and harder to hold on. i would love to have a new custom with he rubber of the alpha as scales with a drop point to boot!
it would be nice for bucks 50th year of 110 to do a reissue of the orgional hunter in its first configuration!
