As many of you know, since I have ranted here about it a couple of times, right afte the C/P shop opened I placed an order for a lefty Tanto. I thought is was a pretty straight forward thing, and though the site said it would be six weeks, I forecast it would take maybe three or four months to get it. I am still waiting for it.

I am not slamming my knife man or his company, but lately I have been considering cancelling the order to keep some money free for other things, like things that might be announced in February :)

I think I need an intervention by the Suspects! I am so confused! This is my cry for help, what is the right thing to do?

Do not worry this state of mind is common amongst people who have ordered custom Emerson knives. If a full custom can take 5 years to arrive, why would you think that a custom/production would take less than a couple of years? :D

If you have the money to pay for the knife on deposit, just think that the extended wait is just a way to reduce the actual amount of capital that the knife will cost you.

As to the good things that will be arriving just around the corner - well who knows.......

Hang in there Suspect - this is part of the rights of passage to the inner circle of Suspectdom = I am sure the boys will agree (not meant to be sexist! I do not know if Bel has finished with the goat yet?).

I feel your pain dude, I sent in my order for my Leftie Commander the first week of April,and have heard nothing. I sent EKI an email last week and nothing,(although they're experiencing problems with their website). And I have to agree with Ed as far as waitng goes, as I'm going into my 5th year wait for my Leftie-6. I say if you can hang in there do it, cuz "good things do come to those who wait"
 
Dude,
I ordered a Titanium Commander back in July of 1999 and the expected delivery was January of 2000.
I take comfort in knowing that one day I will be pleasantly surprised at the mailbox.;)
