All SLCC's I have seen have sported a braided lanyard. I recently aquired one with a different lanyard configuration. Is mine a "standard" configuration, or has it been retied?

I have searched for (and found)instructions on how to tie the braided variation and plan to try my hand at it.
 
I have a SLCC and it has the braid lanyard. If you find instructions on how the SLCC braid is done please post it. I may have to remove mine someday, and would like to know how to replace it. Thanks, Reagan

I have been thinking about buying a couple of G10 slabs and making extended removable handles for my SLCC. I would have to locate my dremal tool (in storage). I was thinking about making a Kerambit handle. If I ever get around to doing it, I will try and post a picture.

Have you ever tried to tie the lanyard with out the starting overhand knots?

It works. It also gives you two paracords attachiong it to the knife instead of only one. Both cords are threaded through the hole and the rest is done according to your intstructions.
