Sleeping bag cinch sack

Hello all! I am having a dilemma. I own a GI Modular Sleep System (MSS) found here: http://www.imsplus.com/ims61b.html, and I am thinking of looking for a different compression stuff sack that I can attach to the bottom of my ALICE pack, much like the Blackhawk compression stuff sack found here: http://www.opticsplanet.net/blackhawk-tactical-compression-stuff-sack.html. The only problem is that so far I can't seem to find one, although I haven't been looking for that long though. The Blackhawk is close, but the measurement dimensions are diametrically around 5 inches smaller than what I need.
Can anyone help me with this or have any ideas? Also, I could snap my buttpack around it instead of having my ALICE pack literally sit on top of it (I don't use an LBE). I guess I could just put it in my pack, but I would rather have it on the outside, to give me more room for clothes and what have you. :)

ThanX ;)

You could look into a compression stuff sak from slumberjack. They make a variety of sizes and are very well made. I own three of them, have used them hard, and have had no problems.

Right-O, I should have thought about that. Thanks. I also have some extra Blackhawk leg straps hanging in my closet I could perhaps use to attach it to my pack. I noticed I could also buy a waterproof bag for my thermarest. I use the leg straps to keep my thermarest tightly in a rolled bundle and I loop my ALICE straps over it so it rests on top of my pack just about. Having them both in waterproof bags would be sweet. Thanks again! I don't see how I forgot about slumberjack.

I don't know where you will be hiking... neither I know about weather conditions... but I am pretty sure that the sleeping bag is the last thing you are going to need while on the run. I mean that you will probably use it only at the end of the day, pack it again on the morning and head of to the trail.

That said I would suggest you keep it at the bottom of your backpack inside two thick plastic bags (unless the compression bag is fully waterproof). I like military gear but I just can't see the point of having a medium sized backpack crowded of outside attachments for removable pockets, neither having everything hung ouside dangling from side to side. I am better off with a bigger backpack with just a pocket or two so I can put everything inside. I can also cinch it down when semifull... Tube shaped backpacks work nicely as half lenght bivy bags when matted with a down parka!

Are you sure the BlackHawk is too small?

Most sleeping bags can be compressed quite small. Maybe you could get it into a light stuff sack first...and then into the BlackHawk bag.

Wow, thats a pretty hardcore sleeping bag! I just got a Kelty rated at 20 degrees one sale for 50 bucks at REI for 50 bucks and though I was prepared!
