Slicer Grind for me

My new XM-24 came in today. I went up to the 24 because the XM-18 3.5 was just a tiny bit too small. I have pretty big hands, and the 3.5 made me feel cramped. When I switched to the 24, I went with the Slicer grind over the Spanto. WOW, is all I can say. I really dig it. Any concerns about this knife being too thin or weak at the tip were immediately put to rest. For me, an my personal tastes, the Slicer is the blade for me. The beauty about life is that YMMV, and you can, and should, check them out for yourself. The knife came hair shaving sharp and I think it will be with me a bunch. I never could love my XM-18 3.5. Not that it isn't an amazing piece of knife artistry, but the fit wasn't right in MY hand. The 24 is. Thanks Hinderer for making "The Beast".

Congrats! I have always been a spanto guy. In fact I thought the slicer grind was kind of ugly. I have a 3.5 spanto, and a Xm-24 spanto, I decided to give the slicer a try about a month ago. I bought a sterile 3.5 spanto and it quickly became my EDC. I absolutely love the slicer grind even over my beloved spantos! Who would have thought. Great knife! I might have to try a 24 slicer myself someday.

Congrats buddy! The 24 was love at first sight for me. Fits my hand like a freakin dream. Still need to try a slicer grind!! Use her hard my friend...she can take it ;)

Well I was able to expand someone else's Hinderer collection with my XM-18 3.5. It is far too great of a knife to sit in my safe. I really think I am a Slicer grind guy from now on. I know "most" prefer the Spanto, an I totally understand that. For me and my hands, and my intended use, it's a XM-24 Slicer in my pocket and a Busse SFNO or a Survive 5.1 in 3V on my hip. I don't think there is ANYTHING in this world that could not be done with that combo. I'm happy as a fat kid with a chocolate cake!!!!

I do a lot of field work and bushcraft type stuff. From carving door cutting charges to carving trap triggers and other wood processing. The Slicer grind just cuts wood with less effort than the Spanto.

A production 3.5" slicer flipper is still on my "Need to get someday" list believe it or not

Crazy not to have one (drives me that is)
