I like this "fluted" or implala jigged bone treatment.

What do you guys think ???

That is an outstanding handle, Ken! I love the fluted treatment, and I really like the melding of the two colors. It reminds me (maybe because I'm dieting?) of caramel sauce over vanilla ice cream, and the mosaic pin and the black spacers really nail it for me. Kudos!!!!

I love boot knives !

That is a very fine example of one ! !

Superb craftmanship on the handle material ! ! ! :)

Thanks Guys,

Both materials are natural bone ... bolster is amber and the other is simple white bone.

I like the idea, you could do all sorts of dips and waves. The best part of your technique is that you've sanded out everything and polished everything up - beautiful. I suppose in some uses, the handle could become a bit uncomfortable, but thats no different from anything that relies on texture for grip - be it knobbly stag, checkered pistol grips, wrapped Japanese handles or fileworked handles.

When it looks that good, its worth doing. Jason.

I agree with VoodooSan, it does look edible :)

Wow no kidding! I didn't know for sure if that was real amber at first.., that's some gorgeous work (and fantastic amber)....

Thanks... :)
