Slight discoloration on aus-8a blade

My Marauder just arrived today and it has a slight discoloration as shown in pictures above.. I have tried wiping the blade down and then wiping it with mineral oil so that is definitely not a smudge. If this is merely cosmetic, it doesn't bother me very much, but if it is a faulty heat treat, i will want to send it back for another blade.. Any thoughts on this?
