Slight pivot play in strider sng... normal?

OK, let me just say that I can see what all the hype is about... I love my two new sriders! Sweet blades. First I got a sng cc, then a few weeks later/today I recieved my new "lego" tanto. The cc sng I noticed has slight pivot play when the blade is in the opening stages of the knife. For example, if you have the knife half open and move the blade slightly back and forth there is some play in there, maybe 1 to 2 mm. The knife locks up nice and tight and no play at lock up. The lego has no pivot play and solid lock up. Is this something I should worry about? Has anyone had a similar issue? Can it be fixed by taking it apart and/or adjusting it myself? Thanks.

The pivot on my sng dgg rotates about 1/8th turn over a week or two of everyday use then stops at a certain spot. Sometimes I turn it back because I found a sweet spot for the smoothest action. Still locks up the same wherever it's at though. You may try tightening the pivot but I really wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks very much for the reply... I want your dgg by the way! I don't think I'm explaining the issue correctly.

The pivot STOPS rotating, alowing the blade to move forwards/ backwards (play) slightly but noticably to me. Like if the knife is half open and I move the blade back and forth a bit I can feel the slight play. My other sng lego does not have that. Nor my sebenza. I know that Striders are known for certain "personalities", but, just was wondering if there might be an easy fix. Not a huge deal probably.

An easy fix? The characteristic you are describing isn't a problem, just a function of the knife. Sometimes the pivot will turn, sometimes it won't. You will feel a little bit of "slack" when you move the blade up and down.
