Slightly modded my Mantra

That's wild, care to give the details?

Anything specific you want to know? Here's the quick rundown:

Dismantle knife.

Grind and sand on the scales a bit.

Etch and then anodize green.

Sand some of the green away and then anodize blue.

Reassemble knife. (This was the hardest part.)(Seriously!)

What did you use to cut the straight bolster line? Knife looks great!

Mike

That was the part that I was the most nervous about. I put a pointed cutter for a dremel in my drill press. The scales were mounted to a block of aluminum and secured in a cross-slide vice. I only lightly scored the scales with the bit and then used the corner a small file to make the lines a little deeper. This part of the project might have actually been harder than reassembling the knife. :D

That is a great job! It took time and care and it shows it. This is one of the best mods I have seen on a Ti knife.

Thanks Doc! I'm kinda anal about getting things right, but I'm also a little impatient sometimes. :D I thought about this design for quite a while and the finished knife matches my vision really well, so I'm very happy with the results.

OUTSTANDING. Isn't it about time someone did this to a Mantra?

I'll send you my Techno for a similar spa treatment, please. ;)
