While these are by no means "old" knives, the bone I've seen on some
new models almost looks "plasticky" compared to these. Know what I mean?
I found these at a place going out of business and I just HAD to get them.
These are my very first polished edge knives from Case.
I figured I would share these pictures with you.

I have some older 70's Case whittlers in dark brown bone. The dying is irregular, and I love that. It brings out different colors, and the translucency kid speaks of. It makes me want to hunt more down.

Natural materials, whether bone, wood, stag, or ivory all tend to look better once they've been weathered a bit.
