[emoji33][emoji15]Special??, mate-that needs to be put on perminant exhibition in some museum[emoji122][emoji322][emoji106][emoji1306][emoji119][emoji33]
It IS special. One of the nicest DHIII fixed blades I remember seeing. To top it off, walrus doesn't get much better than that. There's a very lucky owner out there somewhere.
Thanks for posting, Don. I was fortunate to have this piece of walrus set aside in Don's shop for several years for the right project. We had discussed several different scenarios for the ivory. After seeing some of his son Kyle's results with the alloy-banding W2 recently, I had Don use it to made something nice and pointy that would work with the fossil walrus for this year's Blade Show. I could not be more happy with his results.
Had to send it with Paul Long to his shop after Blade, and received this great sheath last week. The Nile crocodile inlay and brown leather make the handle pop.
Thanks Don & Paul! And, thanks for all the comments.
