I have both old and new single blade trappers with liner lock from Schrade, I believe 1940T is the model. I would like to add a few more of these from other companies. Some companies don't even offer this style, while other have the slim line without the saftey.

Case has a couple I like but I don't think they have the liner lock. I'll likely add them anyhow, but I would like to find a few more with locks. Is Schrade or custom my only option for this pattern? My USA Schrade is pretty good, but the Taylor is just okay.

I really want 440C or D2, or carbon in this style, but anything better would be great. That said, if Buck made one I be happy with 420 HC. :)

Take a look at Great Eastern's 23 and 73 pattern. They have some trapper style liner locks. The 23 and 73 also cover their regular two blade trapper pattern. I am not sure of the difference in model numbers that would differentiate the number of blades and lock style.

Interesting. They are more of the Hunter style pattern, but I think I need to add both of them. I wonder why they changed the handle style? Their two blade Trapper models are dead on, which is what I'm looking for. I just want it with one blade and a lock. :)

I have one from Moore Maker, and its great. Fit and finish were excellent, blade is 1095. I use it small game hunting and like it a lot.
