This is the first of two small knives that will be going to a good friend and one of my best repeat collectors. The two knives will not match or be a set in any way. One is ground and full tang, the other is forged and hidden tang. This one is the ground, full tang one.

This is a nice, slim and light hunter/daily carry. I've been selling and taking orders for quite a few of these lately.

Specs:
Ground from W2, clay quenched and etched
6 3/4" overall, 3 1/8" tip to scales with just over 2 7/8" sharp, .140" thick right at the ricasso with sharp distal taper
Blade height is 7/8" tall from spine to edge right in front of the ricasso, handle width at the thickest part (butt end) right about 7/16"
Fileworked thumb grip
Heavily rounded spine
Tapered tang, tapered down to .030"
Premium stabilized Koa handle with TONS of shimmer that I can't capture in pics
German silver pins
Fileworked butt end

All comments, discussion and opinions welcome.

That is awesome. I love the rounded spine and tapered tang. And the filework and hamon. And everything else about it. Pretty much an awesome knife.

Thank you for posting your comments. I appreciate it.

Awesome work. My only criticism(personal preference, really), would be for the Hamon to be a bit higher on the blade. I just prefer about half the blade to be fully hardened.
