I am looking for a new Slim Profile, Less the 3" blade, Lowride Clip, with Micarta or Carbon Fiber Handle material. My EDC is the CF Delica, I love it, and I wish they would make more. I have my eye on the Almar Ultralight Talon, what else should I have my eye on?

I wear dress slacks in a business type atmosphere so I need something that can ride in the waist band with out much discomfort and without a lot sticking out on the top.

Thanks!

Ryan

If you want to spend some money the WH Westcliff or some of their other models are very thin.

As soon as I read your list of criteria, the Benchmade Mini-Pika was the first knife I thought of. Don't be misled by its relatively low price, as it is an excellent knife. The 440C blade is just under 3", the clip is one of the lowest-riding I've come across, and it is slim and lightweight. Mine has virtually no blade play and locks up tight as a vault. I never hesitate to recommend one of these.

You'll be hard pressed to find a knife with a thinner profile than a SS Spyderco Cricket - a little over 1/4" excluding clip. The SS Cricket is much nicer than the cheap looking FRN model. (and has a framelock) If you feel like something a little dressier you might look at a Sante Fe Stoneworks customized Spyderco's.
