I was thinking of ordering a Squire (501) since the 110 is a bit too big (and heavy) but I haven't seen any around here so I don't know how the proportions are. If you guys wouldn't mind could I get a couple of comparison pictures comparing the:
  • 110
  • 501
  • 112

Mainly I just want to see blade length and thickness (of the knife itself). If you can throw in a Spyderco Military or Endura4 it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Noob,

I have all four of those knives and will to do a picture for you. But my first thought is that you'll find the 501 to big a size reduction from the 110. So, I'll through a 500 into the picture too. It may be the better choice for you. Another consideration you might look at it is the Vantage Pro. It's light, got a clip and G10, and most importantly S30V all for $50 here in the U.S. I've one of those too so I'll add it to the photo too. g

thanks mate
I can't seem to find the 500 on newgraham or knifeworks. Any idea where I can get one shipped to Australia? Also, is the 500/501 thinner than the 110?

The 500 is discontinued but there are plenty around on eBay, Gunbroker.com, etc.
Both the 500 and 501 are significantly thinner.
They are Sunday-go-to-meeting knives IMO.

If your looking for a user with great steel and good size without being to heavy go with that Vantage Pro. g

I have my user knives sorted (Endura and Military), but I have no "formal" knives to speak of.

Herr Noobien,
IF you are a former eagle scout
(( i dont know if they will do the 500 for the same rank in
Ranger over in the UK or else ware like down under
bur you can ask))

you can order a 500 with your ranger or scout information on it..
that is all they are made for now..
