Hi all!

I am seeking now an advice concerning my next traditional knife. I am looking something slightly more refined than Sodbuster jr.

I have narrowed down my choice two patterns:
Slimline Trapper. There's CV in redbone which looks really nice.
or
small Toothpick. There's few very nice color choices in SS model. A pocket worn red might be nice.

But I have no idea how they compear each others in size wise etc.

Both are really neat knives. However, a few things to think about.
The Slimline trapper is a pretty long knife. While thin and awesome in hand, I have found it too long for pocket carry, at least if it is carried horizontally in the front pockets, which my pocket knives always seem to do. No matter what I carry in there with them, they always seem to go horizontal, and the Slimline leaves a bit of an imprint due to it's length. Back pocket carry might work out better for this guy.
The small Toothpick. Small Toothpick? Do you mean "Tiny" Toothpick? I have never found a compromise between the large Toothpick and the tiny Peanut sized Toothpick. Then again, I've only seen a limited number of Toothpicks. A medium sized one would be great. Perhaps this is what you are talking about, a medium one? If it is, then hell, go with that. If it is the tiny Toothpick, understand that it is really small. Like I said, it is the size of a Case Peanut, or thereabouts. Not that there's anything wrong with that, as I myself love smaller knives. However, there is a large size disparity, and I'm not sure if you knew that. With the Tiny Toothpick, I don't like how the handle curls inward towards your palm when using. The design works comfortably with the larger model, but with the smaller one I find it makes it a bit uncomfortable to hold.

A size comparison I shot for someone else with a regular trapper. The slim is the same length but not as wide.

Top to bottom: New large toothpick, old large toothpick, trapper, medium toothpick, tiny toothpick, peanut.

I'd suggest the medium toothpick as an alternative to the slim trapper.

Thanks all, looks like the Medium toothpick might be the choice slightly less bulky than slimeline trapper. Yablanowitz, that's one beautiful looking Case Bonestag toothpick on the top, or is it real stag?
Edit: as some have not liked Toothpick style knives, I probably order Rough Rider medium toothpick for $ 15 before investing $ 55 Case's. Then I can feel how Medium tooth pick rides in my pocket and feels to use before investing greater amount of money.

The largest and smallest Toothpicks in that picture are both Case 6.5 bonestag rather than real stag. The Rough Rider knives are a pretty good way to try a new pattern without draining your bank account.

I have a small S&M toothpick in stag
A razor sharp blade
A very small and useful knife
It belongs to the Peanut cult.....

I have a Canal Street Half Moon Trapper
Extremely good quality in an excellent steel with lovely translucent bone
It is 3 3/4" but has the same blade length as the Case Slimline trapper
