Hi all!

I have been looking Slimline trappers for few days from the Case. Redbone CV or Yellow syntethic handle CV are at my sights atm. But I have not found much information about them.

They are slightly over 4" at closed, seems slightly big, but I don't think they are too big.

I am currently puzzling between Slimline Trapper CV or Medium Stockman Synthetic CV. I already got one Medium Stockman CV with StagBone... Decision, decisions, decisions...

Does anyone has experience as Slimline trapper as work knife or anything? Crticism, opinions, insights or pictures.

Thank you in advance!

I have the case slimline trapper in G-10 love the barehead handels use it every day at work. By far my favorite knife if you get one you wont be dissapointed .

Works great especially for outdoors stuff, fishing, hunting etc. It carries real light for it's size! Unforunately I don't have a Case but I cherish this one!

I don't have the Case slimline Trapper, but I have other slim slippies, & the thinness of the knife is as much of an issue for pocket carry comfort as length is.

What I'm saying is that while it's 4 1/8", because of its slimness, it should carry very well. I have a Menefee Back Pocket Shadow (4 1/8") & I still can't believe how well it carries in the pocket.

If you already have a med. Stockman CV, then I'd say get the slimline Trapper CV. The yellow's nice, but I'd get the red bone, but that's just me.

Go for it.

I have a '78 Case yellow handle CV Slimline Trapper a friend of mine found in a '68 Cadillac Sedan De Ville it was all rusty and well used with lots of blade life left, I cleaned it up and now on occasion gets some pocket duty as an EDC it's really a good EDC and sees more service cuttin' up my dinner than anything else.

Thanks all ^^ We'll see soon, which model I shall take of slimline trapper but it definately needs to be CV. Yellow and redbone both have good sides. Yellow is probably slightly better choice for the EDC carry, is cheaper and has no back bolster. So it does have a lot good sides. I might as well go for the first yeller handle case. I got already few bone ones and one black synthetic. I am still missing the yeller handle ones ^^

Excellent pattern, highly useful. Take a look at the Queen Cutlery version the Utility Knife No.11 pattern .Looks very good in Amber Carved Bone, has 2 bolsters.

The Queens will be D2 or 1095 carbon too.
Canal st. makes one but its stainless,

I like the slim line trappers also. I saw that Case was going to intro one with a dark blue synthetic barehead grip similar to the popular brown one. I'd like to get one of those soon. Go with the slimline!

Is that the American Workman series? Looks promising.

I think the CASE yellow or G-10 handles make excellent work-knives whereas the Queen is a bit more special occasion type of thing, they ALL make first rate food prep knives.

I use the Case Slimline Trapper in SS. Though mine is two blade, clip and spey, I can testify that the slimline is a sturdy work knife. For the money the yellow synthetic CV should last you a long time and you can't beat that.

Here's a pic of mine for reference:

This is a Queen with D2 in Delrin
You can get a Amber Carved Bone in D2 the same price as a Case
I really like D2 once you get it sharp

Welcome to Blade Forums...

Thank you, friend.

VCM3, kindly invited me over here while I was wandering around the trade forums trying to unload some knives a few days ago. Vincent is a good guy and it seems everyone here is very hospitable as well. I appreciate the kindness :)

The Gent, yes welcome and that's a fine CASE stag knife I've never seen before:thumbup:

Is it a current knife or older? Thanks W

Thank you, willgoy.

It's current 2009 production red stag. Its really meaty and thick too. I had to have it when I first saw this thing. The hardware store owner almost bought it for himself that day (I walked in by chance the day it came in). He's a real knife nut too. Told me that looking at this knife was better than five minutes of sex. Lol!

Thank you, friend.

Yep.. Vince is one of the good ones.

Our little area here is a great place to hang your hat. Lot of good folks...

No stress, no arguing, and lots of great knives to look at. I spend more time on here than I do talking to my wife :D
