It's like the old chicken and the egg story.. Background on Chief AJ. He's a world slingshot champion for many years. He has video's out on YouTube shooting pheasant's with just a sling shot and marble. The man is quick and deadly with a sling shot.

I have always loved slingshots and generally carry one about everywhere I go. I have actually killed quite a bit of game with mine, my favorite ammo is 45 cal round balls that I mould myself from old wheel weights. I have an antique "Pocket Rocket" folding wrist brace slingshot that I can never remember not having and a marksman standard no wrist brace model that I have had for at least 15 years.

I have never really researched slingshots, I have been very happy with the ones I have and their performance but this thread got me to digging around on the net. It seems the chinese are huge slingshot enthusiasts and have developed there own slingshots and shooting styles. There are some really cool videos including hunting videos on their website and youtube. Check out their website www.dankung.com I think I am going to have to order one of their American fox models and some tubing. Chris

ohhh I read up on him and have seen his videos. very cool stuff. and what I was getting at was I wonder if the design from the pathfinder school was copied from chief. I played with one this weekend at the Indianapolis 1500 gun and knife show while dave was there. it's a little different but pretty damn close.

cool man, we make 42 cal lead shot with a saltwater jig mold. They really pack a whallop. I have had a few backpacking grouse/rabbit meals with my slingshot.
Wish I still had dad's black widow we grew up shooting.
