I spent a bit of time with this one - its small and was pretty fiddly but I'd reasonably happy with how it turned out. The blade is 2.5inches, O1 carbon steel with a very very thin grind - almost zero edge. Holes in the blade instead of a nail nick. The liners are 0.040 410Stainless and the pivot has a hardened pivot barrel usually used for liner locks. The handles are hand jigged white bone.

I was having so much fun doing the photos, I thought I'd share them. What do you folks think of this one ? I'm taking it to the knife show in 3 weeks. Jason.

Jason,

Superb lookong slipjoint. I like the thin grinds, that would of been delicate.

The handle stands out by lacking bolsters and subtle jigging, Nice job!

I'm hoping to have a good look at this one.

Cheers
Mitch

Another tasty slip ! :)

Love everything about it, but there is something about the blade. . . .that really floats my boat ! :D

What can one say, sweet.

I find myself looking more toward traditional folders these days and that one definitely fits the bill.

Jason,

Keep up the fine work. Looks great to me! I can not even tell where the tang meets the backspring!

Can not wait to see some of those in person one day.

I thought I should comment. This is 1 of 2 I got from Jason at the Melbourne show. Great litter user, just about zero edge so easy to hone & sharp, the tang meets backspring smooth. I've used it a bit, pleasure to use. It's my wife's favourite. She's not getting it :D

It even got the nod of approval from my wife's grandfather after testing the edge, high praise indeed from someone who is pre stainless blades. No comment just the slight nod of head ;)

I've got about 1/2 dozen knives by Jason, none dissapoint

That's a good looking knife.
And I have to say that it is nice to see someone branching out to folders, making slip joints instead of blacticles.

Good on ya!
:D

Excellent work Kwong! Your folders are coming along nicely. I will have to watch myself when you start to do them bolstered with stag.

A definate weakness of mine...

95/100, sorry Jason but IMHO the Pivot Bolt spoils it. If you could find one that matches the look it would be perfect.

wow, that's really nice. I like the holes for a nail nick, and I like the pivot bolt.. :p
