Don`t know if the traditionals is the right place for it ?

It`s a slipjoint but I do not know if the shape can be called "traditional"?

Anyway it`s a beautifully made folder by british maker Shing. :thumbup:
As locking folders are prohibited to carry in the UK (you must have a "legal reason" to carry), Shing builds his folders and the spring as strong as possible.
It`s almost like a locking folder but can be carried legally without that "legal reason thing". ;)

What do you think of it?

what a beauty and it bridges the tradional-modern gap:thumbup:
only thing its missing is a swedge on the blade.:D:D
really beautiful knife looks like its pretty hefty whats the measurements on it, the profile reminds a little of a sunfish:thumbup:

Good looking knife!

I have handled and used two of Shings knives.
I am impressed, and hope someday to own one.
 
I had intended to order one of his knives and the web site went toes up. Does Shing have a new web site or contact point?

The folder above is his Raven model. It`s got a sub 3" CPM154 blade with a ~ 2,7" cutting edge.
The handle is titanium 6Al4V with integral bolsters machined from 4mm (~0.16")
Spring is 440C, hardware is 303ss, bushing of phosphor bronze and scales premium grade desert ironwood
It`s kind of hefty and built not only bullet proof but bomb proof! :thumbup: :D

And, yes it can be taken apart with a torx 6 and a torx 10.

Will order a single bolstered slippie in the not so distant future. ;):D

BTW the folders can be ordered with integral bolsters as shown above, with bolsters screwed on, single bolsters, without any bolsters......... :D
