Slipjoint cleaning tool from a bicycle store

I find that slipjoints have thinner blades than moden single blade folders so it can be hard to clean them with anything bigger than a toothpick. What I use is a bicycle chain cleaning tool which has a very narrow nylon brush on one end. Check at your local bike store and try to get one with an angle to the bristles / rather than one that is all the same size _ They retail for around $6.
 
Mascara brushes work well too and they're cheap.

I found that the handle on them are 1/8" diameter, so they fit in the 1/8" collet of the Fordom flex shaft grinder. Good for cleaning out lanyard tubes.
