I have inherited about 10 or so slipjoints over the last couple of years and would like to clean them up a bit. What is the best way to remove rust from the inside liners and what product is best to overall clean them. Any help would be appreciated.

You will get alot of differing opinions on cleaning, some guys do it some dont.
Personally i tend to keep the cleaning to a minimum. Just stabilize the knife (active rust, etc)
2 steps for me:
1) I use WD-40 and wipe with cloth or paper towels, maybe 000 steel wool if its really bad, nothing too aggressive. Keep flushing it out, USe pipe cleaners, cardboard or Q-tips for the hard to reach areas
2) Mineral Oil, light coat and a drop on the joints
The above will not result in a shiny like a new penny knife but it works for me as i think an old knife should look old it adds to the character
cheers
