I've been fascinated by the CRKT Glide Lock lately. It's such an attractive knife with such clean lines. In appearance it's both modern and traditional, in a way that I find very complimentary (although I could do without the words GLIDE LOCK emblazoned across the blade).

The "locking" mechanism is kind of curious. It doesn't really stay shut except through friction. You slide it up, rotate the knife, and then slide the metal collar of the lock back down again, but unless you keep your finger on it, the lock could work its way back up if you really tried to make that happen.

I would call this a slipjoint folder with a little something extra, in execution. It's a gorgeous little day-to-day utility pocket knife.

want another one?

blade is too thin, mechanism is cool but chancey, it is cool in that you get a long blade in a small package but thats about it for me.

Pm me your address.

honestly hasn't seen my pocket in over a month...no reason it shouldn't go to someone that might use it.

it's the pinkish one btw...Id say it's more of a funky friction FWIW.

Can you give me an e-mail address to use? It won't let me PM you or email you through the board. (And thank you!)

I really dig the handle design but am not a fan of the engraving, also im quite paranoid about slipping my hand up on blades that dont have a guard of some sort so it might barely get any use from me over my opinel or cloverbrand stockman

I found it way to easy to slide your finger up onto the blade when your "unlocking" the mechanism. It's a cool concept but I think it could be executed a little better.
