Earlier this week an old buddy of mine ( the same one that hooks me up with old slipjoints from time to time ) calls me and says he just scored a bucket of pocket knives , when I asked him how many I was surprised when he said about seventy !!
So he wanted me to look them over and see what ones were more desirable than others , not that I'm an expert like some of you but I do know my major brands and patterns to an extent.
Mind you that many of these have seen better days in one form or another , from broken blades or chipped handles , missing scales , most of them exhibit rust in some areas and all of them need a good cleaning and sharpening !
nonetheless there are some nice old patterns that I have never seen , and i'm positve some rarities that would fetch a handsome price if they were fully intact.
Marks are everything from Camillus , Remington , Cutco , Robeseon , Camco , Hammer , Imperial... etc etc
Some of these I do not know what there origin is , for instance the ones that resemble AG Russels 'funny folder'... and the bottom pic is ??? What in the heck are those for ? Alien TV antennas ?
Sorry for the bad picx quality , only camera on hand was my phone camera.
It sure was fun pawing thru are that history and there were some definate shame moments when I went "ooooHH!!" only to discover the knife was missing a blade or had a significant chip out of the tip , missing scales.....
Enjoy !
