Sorry if this has already been done (and if so feel free to politely shove me in the direction of the relevant thread(s)).
It's a big ask but would anyone be willing to post a step by step guide (with pic's!) to slipjoint maintenance and repair? I'm thinking in particular of peening the pivot pin to tighten wobbly blade(s) and hand finishing the bolsters? Other issues like rough/proud pins and crack repair would be good.
As most of my slipjoints are made in the fine USA I'd be keen to be able to sort these problems rather than sending the knife back
As an incentive I'll send my Ebony #56 to the author of the first (legible!) thread offered....
I feel it's only fair to mention that this knife has developed more of a patina since this pic was taken (not a worry in my book
)
Thanks in advance.......:thumbup:
