So of course I've been bitten by the bug and now I have to own every traditional knife I can lay my hands on.

I know of Case obviously, I know of S&M and Queen but what are some other quality 50-150$ brands that produce quality traditional folders?

Kenny,
Here a couple of more I can personally vouch for.

Canal Street

Bulldogs

Buck and Boker makes some very fine quality knives also for under $50.00.

If you are a good bargain hunter you can get lots of good stuff on the secondary market either used, barley used, or just plain new-old-stock, in abundance.. However, its a bit like hunting. You must look before you leap..

.. The aforementioned brands in posts here in this thread are certainly fine examples of quality brands. I would also check out vintage Henckels. And especially the earlier Fight'n Rooster slipjoints that are now available if you desire a real good value!

Best,
Anthony

Thank you for the replies, I looked around at the names suggested and have found a number of knives I'd like to pick up.

I prefer to buy my knives new though, if anyone's going to wear out my knife it'll be me.

God Bless You!

As a fellow who used to be a part time knife dealer, these are words that are music knife dealers ears!. :p

Old Timers made in USA can still be found online and they are great users. Get them while you still can...

That should be a sticky around here.

Don't count out those old knives. Lots of nice old pieces out there.
