is it possible, without going custom, to get a slipjoint, with either a congress pattern handle or equal end handle with a pen or spear point blade, a sheepsfoot, a wharncliffe, and a hawkbill blade? I vaguely remember hearing of one a long time ago and have had no luck in finding one. do they exist or have i made this up?

I looked around a little, Pete, had no luck either. 5 blades in that exact configuration may be pretty hard to find. I have seen some 5 blade sowbelly stockmen but not with those blades.
A pretty good looking Bulldog brand I found.
EDIT - Nevermind. I read your post wrong and though it say five blades instead of four.

Pete, I don't think that you will find a factory slipjoint with those blades. However, John Howser in Frankfort, KY, could most likely make you that knife at a reasonable price. John is a great guy and he makes fantastic knives. I have three of his slipjoints.

RM,
Does John Howser have a web site? Or, any way of viewing his work?
Thanks

Lanza,
I don't think that John has a web site, however you can call him at 502-875-3678 tell him that I asked you to call him. He is a great guy, you will like him. For the money you will not find a better slipjoint.

RM,
Thanks for the information. Is there any chance of you posting a photo of John's slip joints? I plan on making that call in the next few days.
Thanks!!

Lanza,

I would have to take a few pictures and email them to you. Unless I can get a friend of mine to post them.
