Not sure if this is the right place to post this question but I’m looking for anyone in the U.S. that can re-cover a slipjoint knife and repair or replace slightly bent liners. I got a little too aggressive trying to straighten a blade on a relatively inexpensive but sentimental slipjoint I have and would be willing to send it to someone that could repair or replace the liners and put new covers on it, preferably something like ebony wood or something similar. I can send pics if someone here does that and would have time and willingness to do so. Happy to pay for service of course.

Kind regards,

Gus

It's what I do.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but can the pivot be tightened on a pinned slippie where there is no visible pivot under the smooth steel bolster? Just curious.

I have a custom with a slight bit of play, which I can live with. Maker is retired, and I bought it off the exchange anyway.

You got the right fellow.
I am closing this thread because we do not allow business transactions and such in Shop Talk. Use "The Exchange - Knifemaker Services Wanted" in the future.
