Im looking to expand my knowledge about traditional knives as far as history, patterns, brands anything. Are there any books I could get that would meet these requirements?

Collecting Case Knives - Steve Pfeiffer
Great Eastern Cutlery An American Tradition - David L. Anthony
Tidioute Brand Pocket Knives A Town With An Edge - David L. Anthony

Goin's Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings
The Premium Guide To Knives & Razors - Jim Sargent

Thank you very much I'll look into them

You're welcome. Don't let the titles of the Great Eastern and Tidioute books fool you. They both contain a good amount of historical information on traditional cutlery in general in addition to the brands mentioned in the titles.

I like the Tidioute book the best for a good historical read but they are both good books.

A great book of Stefan Schmalhaus was lately translated to English: A gentlemans pocket knife
