I have a Puma Warrior with aluminum or steel handle (with slots to reduce the weight). I think it is a bit slippery. This must be something a lot of you have stumbled upon earlier. What is the best way to make the knife less slippery, without using super-glue? :D

what about grip tape from skateboards? I have heard about it on the forums but never tried it!

An article on the new Benchmade Pinnacle in a recent (Sept. 2001)Tactical Knives magazine addressed that question. Author Ralph Mroz says he solved the problem of slippery titanium scales by applying a couple of inches of non-slip stair tread tape: cost, about 10 cents. It comes in several grits and textures and can be cut to size for placement anywhere on a knife... even the colours may match. The photo with the article almost looks like the tape was an insert. Hope this helps.

a product called plastidip works wonders and if properly dipped in the solution the knife will still have the cut outs as well as a nice rubberized handle that is NON SLIP and you can put on as many coats as you want to customize it to your hand....it feels similar to a good plasticized/rubber plier grip when properly applied...cost per can is about 6.00 usd and you can coat dozens of knives with a single can of plastidip...comes in red, blue, green, black, and yellow....feverdoc
