I've been lurking and learning for a few months now, getting the lay of the land. New to this knife addiction, but had an EDC for 16 yrs that was my dads until i lost it this past Summer Ordered my first two Beckers-first a BK2 and then a BK11. Wow. And so it starts.....

Found an old stone that was my dads and learned what i could from you guys on how to use it and then started mods on the Necker.

Stripped it and jimped it and soaked it hot sauce.

Took a file to it and then a spur of the moment purchase from Tomars (while checking on Machax availability) late on Friday afternoon. Disbelief when the BK11 handles showed up today! Monday, basically 1 day later..... Impressive how great they are to deal with. And love the micarta, it's a whole new knife.

Learned a lot from this forum and wanted to thank the group in general for being generous with the how-to info, contests and basic knowledge. This place is pretty damn awesome. Thanks guys and gals.

Thanks everyone. I learned(ing) it all here. I think my addiction breaks down to 80% sharp blades and 50% Becker forum....yeah, not good at math. One is not the same without the other.

When I clicked on this this morning, for some reason I expected something like this in here.

Ditto. Except with more beckers.

Kind of upset I didn't get to see a Viking going down a slip-n-slide with a BK9, today.

I guess BK11s and mods are cool too:D

What knife did you end up losing BTW? Great file work! Yes the micarta makes it a whole new knife, love mine!

A small ceramic folder the old man got while stationed in Okinawa. Not really sure what make and it wasn't much good except for opening mail and slicing fruit, but it meant something. Missed having an EDC and that lead me here. Torn now between a BK9 or wait (how long) for the Machax. The 2 & the 11 are getting lonely.
