Hey folks. I haven't really spent to much time in this neck of the forum but I love traditionals and slipjoints so I suppose its time I come knocking.
Anyway, for some time I've been looking for a decent quality slipjoint that has a main blade around 3", but also has a second tool thats a caplifter/screwdriver. I've scoured eBay for some time and all I ever see are cheap novelty crap and tiny versions of what you see in the included pictures. Any suggestions of a knife brand or a maker who does something similar to these pics?
I've always liked having additional tools along with the main blade. And yes, I do have plenty of SAKs.
Any help would be much appreciated.:D

Thanks. These are great scout knives. What I'm looking for is basically like a stockman with maybe one small utility blade and a screwdriver/beer bottle opener.
I like stockmans but the standard ones with three, maybe four blades always seem like overkill. I really only need only one blade for cutting chores, a screwdriver for small tasks and something to crack open a brewski at the end of a day.
Maybe it doesn't exist.

Different???

I am with you, a Canoe with the small blade replaced by the screwdriver/cap lifter of a SAK in Stag or Smooth bone would be very cool! If you find one let us know.

You can probably find a custom maker and give him some specs of what you want. It will cost you a pretty penny, but that will be worth it.

Too bad a SAK won't do. The Victorinix Bantam is otherwise exactly what you're looking for. There's an Alox version that looks pretty classy. Also, you could replace the scales on the regular version with something more traditional.

Remington used to make a 2 blade jack that had a main spear point blade, and a screwdriver bottle opener second blade.

For some reason, I see them a lot at shows with shoe store names and logos on them???

A long time ago on a popular online auction site, I used to see a lot of slipjoints by a German maker named Hugo Koller that would have fit the bill. Most of them had wood scales, equal-end pattern with rounded bolsters, and then a main blade and either a caplifter/screwdriver, or a caplifter/screwdriver AND corkscrew. Very nice looking knives. I still kick myself for never buying one.

Great suggestions guys! Thanks for your input.
Actually a SAK will do, I have a dozen or more. I would just like to see a traditional slipjoint version like the Remington line that was mentioned, with different handle materials.
Also, going to a custom maker is a good option, if not a spendy one. It just irks me because I have seen a version of the knife I described. I even saw one in a catalog like Cheaper Than Dirt, but when I ordered it, it was a Chinese piece of junk with so much blade wobble that I threw it out.
I'm really suprised that Case doesn't make something like that.

I used to carry a Sak Bantam but got tired of it. Lately I've been carrying a Case pen knife (to satisfy my taste for the traditional) and a Buck Metro (very untraditional but it has a great bottle opener).

I was going to suggest a camco also. I have the same one sitting on my keyboared at work.

If a SAK-type setup with a more traditional look would do the trick for you, you could check with one of the customizers on SOSAK. There are folks that will build you a knife to order, and others that will put custom scales on your SAK. I know it isn't exactly what you are looking for, but it's an option.

I saw som IKCO shoe advertising knives on Ebay. They were traditional easy openers with a bail and two blades. I'll try to find a picture when I get a chance.

Here's a couple pictures of my little Camco. The eBay auction pic did not do justice to its condition.
