Well I think I found what I was looking for at Enco, a HSS blade 1 1/2" wide by .025 thick, but how many teeth? they list it as having 110 teeth. Is that about rite for ti? There only 2.94$ so they arn't that expensive if they only do a few folders before they were out.

Thanks,

Will

Will,

I've bought similar saws from MSC. 110 teeth will work just fine. I used 1 1/2" saws for a while but eventually came to the conclusion that a larger diameter was better. I now have 2 1/2" blades. One word of advice is to run your mill as slow as it will possibly go. If you run the blade fast or make the cuts deep you will waste that blade faster than you can say oh crap. I don't try to broach all in one shot. I work it slowly with about .010 cuts. Cutting the center area back and forth until the saw broaches the liner. I then slowly work the saw forward until I get to the .053 holes I've drilled at the ends of my lock slit. Ensure that you have the liner anchored tightly or the saw will move it around and ruin the liner and break your blade. I made a jig that holds the liner solid with clamps/screws and chuck it up in my machine vice.
