"sloppy" blade on ZT0801

I have a ZT0801, great knife, BUT, when I close it there is very little if any resistance. Dropped the knife, and the blade opened about one third of the way.
Is there a simple fix for this problem, or do I ship it back to manufacturer for tune-up?

Sounds like a weak detent. This can sometimes be adjusted a bit by taking the knife apart and bending the lock bar in a bit so it's placing more force on the blade. It could also be that something wasn't machined out enough and is precluding the ball from seating adequately in the blade hole, which isn't as easy to fix. Either way, I'd personally send it in to ZT and have them look at it.

edit: Here's a pic I found of a taken down 0801, for reference. You can see the detent ball at the front of the lock bar insert.
