Slotted Screws?

Are the old slotted screws and handle scales easily removable (like on a Ranger RD knife?) Or are they permanently fixed?

Both.

IIRC some are glued and some not.

Skunk did a nice thread a few years back on removing the scales with pics.

Perhaps the search function will work or Skunk could repost the pics.

I've wondered the same thing. Not because I really want to remove any right now, but I wondered how easy it might be.

The screws on my SHSH are glued I think. Can't get any movement in them

Also didn't want to remove them just see how tight they would be.

I believe that all of the smooth bolt and slotted bolt fasteners were put together using "Loctite".
Not sure if the handles were glued to the steel or not.
