Slow setting threadlocker

Most threadlocking compounds are slow setting (an hour at least). The question is do you want to be able to take the screw back out after it sets or do you want it to hold forever (like a stud)?

Use Teflon tape, aka plumbers tape. I've been experimenting with it on my pivots with good results. Holds the screws in, but can adjust multiple times with no worries of it backing out.

I like it.

Is that 24hrs to cure or to set
To cure, I believe. I dont think its intended to be like that, just works out that way. I used it several times when I was racing RC cars, thinking it was just like the liquid only to find it took too long.Having a Nitro motor come loose halfway thru a race and chewing up a clutch bell sucks, lol

second for blue locktight I work on motor cycle mechanics and it is the best stay away from the red one as it can strip the threads off the bolts/screws

Purple Loctite 222 is more appropriate for screw sizes that come on a folding knife, and can be tweaked all you want even after it sets up.
