I was out with a company man who had a prosthesis from his knee on down. Lots half his leg a long time before. I knew it as did a few others but most did not. I had my Sebenza out to slice something and of course everyone wanted to see it. One jerk "flicked" it open and then felt the blade (which was plenty sharp) and of course denigrated my sharpening skills. The company man said "Here, I'll tell you if it is sharp. (grabbing the knife) If it is dull, this really hurts"

and stabbed it into what would have been his calf.

Pulled it out after a few stunned seconds.

"Nope, it is plenty sharp."

Hahahahahaha! Thats f*cking demented - I love it!

Yes, do tell, how did folks react?

This was on a Keys rig. 402 if I recall it correctly. The reaction was really pretty much stunned silence until one guy who knew about it laughed. Then he smiled and it did break the air. I recall many of the rig hands were "colorful" --- the South Louisiana natives are often referred too as "coona$$e$" while Mississippi guys were "stumpjumpers" The Derrickman's nickname was "chickenf**ker"

In fact that's how he introduced himself. "Hi, I'm chickenf**ker"

No more of that shallow water shelf stuff for me though. Everything is deepwater these days.

I know there are thousands of rigs out there, but you never know, So I thought I would ask.:)
