Hello guys, I think it's the slowest I have seen in a while on the forums, spring is here in Tenn. and I am sure everyone is busy outside.
But I bet people are still using and carrying their SOG knives like I am to do things around the house. I usually sit in the evening and go over my blade with a ceramic rod, just to fine tune for the next day.

I only actually use a handfull of my SOGs for cutting things around the house though, not my good ones :D , I still can't bring myself to use them because I know it will make them "used " knives" . This sounds silly I know, but I have certain ones I have sharpened and only use them.

The other day I trimmed the driveway free of limbs with one of my user SOGs, a S-36 Auto Clip, I know, it is a little small for limb cutting, but I have it so sharp I just make a cut and most of the time it cuts all the way through the limbs, sometimes it cuts halfway, and then I make another cut to finish. I enjoy working this little knife because the handles and body of this knife are tough as nails.

Most of the limbs I cut are usually around 1/4 to 1/2 inch, so it cuts them easy. I do this just to get to use this neat little knife. I generally use a SOG Revolver for the heavier cutting jobs and bigger limbs.

This is some of the things I have been doing lately. :D Sounds pretty exciting don't you think ?

Hey Robbie,

Things pretty slow here just outside our nations capital. Spring is also in the are (along with the polin). I, probably like may others are awaiting some of the new SOGs. As a non-hunter, the new revolver doesn't really interest me. That can't be said for a bunch of the other new offerings (especially the new Trident, not to be confused with the old Trident :D ).

I am also interested in hearing from someone who has tried the new groove sheaths. Do they work with the Revolvers?

Best all,

Hey Scottsman, Good to hear from you again, no, the Groove does not fit the Revolver, but they have several new models of the Revolver due out anytime, including the Double Action, which comes with a Tanto blade and a Clip point blade.
The hunter is a multiple use knife, made for hunting and camping, or just about anything else a person would usually do outdoors.
I would say it would be one of the best all around outdoor knives on the market. The Double Action comes standard with 2 blade options that would be good I think for military, police, swat, or any one who wants the option of having 2 blades, available for use in a second, all in a straight knife.
I too am waiting for SOGs new offerings in the Trident, it is one cool looking knife, and from what I have seen of the other new ones (Rescue/Tanto Flash), these too will be awsome knives.
Pollen is terrible here in Tenn. this year, everything is yellow, and it looks like it will be here for a while. Thanks for checking in with us, I wondered where every one had got to. Check back soon, we should have some new toys to talk about soon I hope :D .
