Hello guys, I think it's the slowest I have seen in a while on the forums, spring is here in Tenn. and I am sure everyone is busy outside.
But I bet people are still using and carrying their SOG knives like I am to do things around the house. I usually sit in the evening and go over my blade with a ceramic rod, just to fine tune for the next day.
I only actually use a handfull of my SOGs for cutting things around the house though, not my good ones
, I still can't bring myself to use them because I know it will make them "used " knives" . This sounds silly I know, but I have certain ones I have sharpened and only use them.
The other day I trimmed the driveway free of limbs with one of my user SOGs, a S-36 Auto Clip, I know, it is a little small for limb cutting, but I have it so sharp I just make a cut and most of the time it cuts all the way through the limbs, sometimes it cuts halfway, and then I make another cut to finish. I enjoy working this little knife because the handles and body of this knife are tough as nails.
Most of the limbs I cut are usually around 1/4 to 1/2 inch, so it cuts them easy. I do this just to get to use this neat little knife. I generally use a SOG Revolver for the heavier cutting jobs and bigger limbs.
This is some of the things I have been doing lately.
Sounds pretty exciting don't you think ?
